Presenting Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Japanese MP

According to a VNA reporter in Tokyo, on November 12, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Japanese MP Yoichiro Aoyagi and the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the contributions of MP Aoyagi as well as the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park over the years, especially the fact that the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park, which has been held 17 times, has become a brand and an important event in the relationship etween the two countries. The Ambassador said that with this result, the Prime Minister of Vietnam decided to award a Certificate of Merit to Congressman Aoyagi and the Festival Organizing Committee to recognize this positive and effective contribution.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu congratulated Mr. Aoyagi on his re-election in the general election on October 27 and expressed his hope that Mr. Aoyagi, as a member of the Japanese House of Representatives, would continue to make positive contributions to the friendly relations between the two countries.

Representative Aoyagi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this noble award, considering it a common honor for groups and individuals, including Vietnamese friends, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Vietnamese Government, and Japanese people who have joined hands to build a good relationship between the two countries through the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park since 2008.

He expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and Vietnamese friends for supporting the organization of activities, not only the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park but also many other activities that have been implemented, cultural exchange events held in Vietnam, events to support the earthquake-hit areas in the Noto Peninsula earlier this year, economic exchange activities, such as forums, seminars, etc. He also agreed with Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu's proposal to enrich and diversify exchange activities and organize many exchange events with the participation of many subjects. The congressman affirmed that in the coming time, he will continue to support the strengthening of cooperation and exchange with Vietnam, including the political approach.

In an interview with a VNA reporter, Congressman Aoyagi expressed his gratitude to those who have joined hands to strengthen relations between the two countries. He said that the Vietnam Festival at Yoyogi Park attracts hundreds of thousands of participants every year. He expressed his gratitude to those who enthusiastically participated in the festival, as they were the factors that contributed to the success of this event. He affirmed that in the coming time, he will continue to make efforts to contribute to the relationship between the two countries.
