Vietnam to Chair the Ikebana International Fair in December 2024

On October 29, 2024, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan hosted a meeting at the embassy premises to announce information and prepare for the Ikebana International Fair, scheduled for December 10, 2024, at the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. During the meeting, the Ambassador's spouse, along with representatives from various embassies and foreign missions in Tokyo, as well as members of the Ikebana Fair Organization, discussed fair protocols and promotional strategies for the event.

The Ikebana International Fair is a prestigious cultural event held annually in Tokyo, attracting significant media attention. The Fair is under the patronage of Princess Takamado, a member of the Japanese royal family, who is also the Honorary President of the Ikebana International Organization. The Fair will welcome the participation of the spouses of senior Japanese leaders, representatives from over 30 embassies in Japan, and numerous officials and members of the Ikebana International Organization.

At the Fair, renowned Ikebana artists from various schools will showcase unique Ikebana artworks. Participants can also purchase various handicrafts displayed by embassies in their booths. Proceeds from the Fair will be used to support victims affected by natural disasters in Japan.

This year, the Spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador is honored to be the chairperson of the Ikebana International Fair 2024, where Vietnam will introduce its unique culture and products to Japanese and international friends.
