On June 20, Ambassador Designate Pham Quang Hieu received H.E. Mr. Hanazumi Hideyo, Governor of Niigata at the Embassy of Viet Nam. The two sides agreed on measures to promote relations between Vietnamese localities, including the relations between Thanh Hoa and Vinh provinces, Hai Phong City, and Niigata Prefecture.

On June 5, Ambassador Designate Pham Quang Hieu paid a working visit to Tochigi Prefecture. In his meeting with Governor Fukuda Tomikazu, Ambassador Designate Pham Quang Hieu shared that Tochigi is the first Japanese Prefecture that the Ambassador Designate has visited and worked with since taking on his new role as Ambassador of Viet Nam to Japan.

On May 30 th , Ambassador Designate Pham Quang Hieu met with Governor Yamamoto Ichita of Gunma Prefecture at the Embassy of Viet Nam. The two sides discussed measures to promote the relations between Vietnamese localities, including promoting the relations between Tuyen Quang Prefecture and Gunma Prefecture.
