Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu Receives Spouse of Late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo

          On September 10, 2026, at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu received Mrs. Abe Akie, spouse of the late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.

          During the meeting, Mrs. Abe Akie thanked Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu for his interest in and support for the exhibition project showcasing the life and career of the late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. She shared her desire to bring the exhibition abroad—including to Vietnam—in the near future, thereby helping to preserve and spread the legacy and contributions of the late Prime Minister Abe regarding the friendly relations and cooperation between Japan and other nations.

     Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo’s exceptionally important contributions to the robust development of Vietnam-Japan relations during his lifetime. He affirmed that the leadership and people of Vietnam always cherish the late Prime Minister’s sincere sentiments, interest, and contributions toward Vietnam.

          The Ambassador also expressed his gratitude and high regard for Mrs. Abe Akie’s interest, support, and assistance regarding Vietnam-Japan relations and the activities of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. He expressed his hope that she would continue to take an interest in, accompany, and support activities that foster people-to-people exchanges, strengthen friendship, and deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan in the time ahead./.
