Vietnam extends visa exemption policy

Vietnam extends visa exemption policy for 3 more years for citizens of 12 countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Russia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland

On March 7, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP on visa exemption for citizens of 12 countries. This Resolution takes effect from March 15, 2025 to March 14, 2028 and will be considered for extension in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese Government exempts visas for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway and Republic of Finland with a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions as prescribed by Vietnamese law. Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022 and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government expire from March 15, 2025.
