Rally to celebrate 80 years of August Revolution in Japan

VOV.VN - Joining the jubilant, excited, emotional and proud atmosphere of the whole country towards the National Day on September 2, today, August 25, in Tokyo, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan solemnly held a rally to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution.

Speaking here, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu reviewed the glorious historical journeys of Vietnam and the great contributions of Vietnamese diplomacy, from the Preliminary Agreement in 1946, the Geneva Agreement in 1954, to the Paris Agreement in 1973... in the two great resistance wars of the whole nation, the process of fighting against the siege, embargo, normalization and expansion of relations with other countries, the international integration process, as well as the current national construction, along with the continuous development of the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World" between Vietnam and Japan.

Mr. Pham Quang Hieu also emphasized the great contributions of ministries and branches and the importance of coordination between the Foreign Affairs and other branches in the cause of national development. Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu emphasized: “Vietnamese diplomacy, founded by President Ho Chi Minh himself, has written heroic pages of history for our nation. As General Secretary To Lam emphasized, in the new era, Vietnamese diplomacy must reach new heights to fulfill its new responsibilities, worthy of being the vanguard, the combined arms of the Vietnamese Revolution. On the comprehensive foreign affairs front, the coordination between the Foreign Affairs, Public Security, Finance, Education and Labor sectors... is a key factor. In the relationship with Japan - Vietnam's comprehensive, extensive and leading strategic partner, this coordination is even more meaningful. The two countries' diplomacy has continuously consolidated political trust, enhanced coordination in regional and international forums”.

At the ceremony, representatives of ministries and branches pledged to continue to make efforts, closely coordinate with diplomatic agencies in the area, effectively carry out the political tasks of each agency, contribute to the development of Vietnam, Japan and the relationship between the two countries.

It is known that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue to organize many activities for Japanese partners, the Vietnamese community in Japan, towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day on September 2. These activities will contribute to strengthening the relationship between Vietnamese agencies in Japan and relevant agencies of the host country, at the same time creating a new driving force, new pride for the Vietnamese community in Japan to continue to develop in the coming time.
