Ikebana Demonstration at the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan

On October 18, 2024, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan was proud to collaborate with Ikebana International Tokyo Chapter to host Ikebana Demonstration event at the Embassy’ premise.

The Demonstration was performed by young artist Rikou Otsuka, Vice HeadMaster of the Koryu Katabamikai school, who displayed various flower arrangement techniques and created sophisticated flower artworks with the theme of Autumn hue.

Mrs. Thai Thu Hong, Spouse of the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Japan attended the Demonstration together with Spouses of Ambassadors from various countries and over 100 guests, including members of the Ikebana International Tokyo. Participants at the Ikebana Demonstration could learn about Vietnamese culture through Vietnam exhibitions and traditional Vietnamese cuisine catered by the Embassy.

Participants expressed great enthusiasm and satisfaction at the Event where they could get to know more about Vietnamese culture while admiring Autumn flower artworks. This was the first time such an event was held at the Embassy, as a significant step to strengthen cultural connections and exchange between the two countries Vietnam and Japan.
