Hung Yen promotes investment attraction from Japan
VOV.VN – On October 28, in Tokyo, the Investment Promotion Conference of Hung Yen province in Japan took place. Here, the potential and strengths of Hung Yen were emphasized, attracting the attention of Japanese enterprises.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Sau, Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, along with many Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises investing and doing business in Hung Yen, and especially a large number of Japanese enterprises planning to invest in this locality with an attractive business environment.

Here, the Organizing Committee introduced the potential, advantages, and investment opportunities in Hung Yen province through vivid and attractive images. In addition, the internal strength of Hung Yen is also promoted and emphasized convincingly through the introduction of the experiences of Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises operating in the province, such as Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 18.3 (Licogi 18.3), Daiwa House Group Japan...
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, emphasized the advantages of the locality after merging Hung Yen and Thai Binh, aiming to call for a stronger wave of investment from Japan.
“After the merger, Hung Yen province has an area of over 2,500 km2 and a population of over 3.2 million people. The merger of the two provinces has created a larger development space, strengthened infrastructure connectivity, expanded investment space, and attracted domestic and international resources. In the first 9 months of the year, the province has attracted 270 domestic and foreign investment projects, with a total registered investment capital of over 7 billion USD,” said Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam.

Another highlight of Hung Yen introduced is Thang Long II Industrial Park, selected by the Japanese Sumitomo Group for investment and development since 2005, with an area of over 525 hectares after 2 expansions. In an interview with VOV Tokyo reporter, Mr. Kawanabe Kenta - General Director of Thang Long II Industrial Park Co., Ltd. said that Hung Yen has many advantages. First is the geographical location close to Hanoi and Hai Phong and the modern transportation system; second is the administrative procedures that are also very convenient for businesses with the one-stop mechanism.
“There are two points that businesses want to emphasize for the future. The first is the issue of electricity. Because demand will continue to increase sharply, there is a need for backup steps. The second is human resources, in addition to the current highly skilled workforce, it is necessary to provide cross-training to ensure long-term, sustainable development,” Mr. Kawanabe Kenta pointed out.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Sau, Ambassador of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, highlighted the achievements of comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. Of which, more than 100 pairs of localities of the two countries have established friendly and cooperative relations, and at the same time believed that Hung Yen will become a symbol for the wave of high-quality investment cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the coming time. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony took place between Thang Long II Industrial Park Company Limited and Sanyo Denki Company - a Japanese enterprise specializing in manufacturing cooling fans and electric motors.
