Forum "Intellectual Women’s Integration and Creativity - Bridge to the Future of Vietnam-Japan"

VOV.VN - On the afternoon of November 23, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, in coordination with the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association, the Vietnam Intellectuals Association in Japan, and the Vietnam Scholars Network in Japan, organized the forum "Intellectual Women’s Integration and Creativity - Bridge to the Future of Vietnam-Japan."

This program is meaningful in providing an opportunity for exchange and cooperation within the community of female intellectuals, building a foundation for creating a database of Vietnamese female intellectuals in Japan, and also expressing gratitude for the contributions of intellectual women in labor, research, and community social activities.

In his speech at the forum, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu expressed his pleasure and highly appreciated the contributions and achievements of the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association since its establishment in June. He affirmed that the association has gradually shown its central role in uniting and promoting the creativity of female intellectuals. He also emphasized that the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association is an important milestone that contributes to promoting cooperation and innovation between Vietnam and Japan through the role of intellectual women.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu stated, "Our Vietnamese community in Japan is quite large, with more than 600,000 people, and many organizations and associations have been established. However, the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association is very special, making significant contributions to the economic and social development of Japan, Vietnam, and the relations between the two countries, as well as the development of the community. I hope that we not only support each other but also work towards a higher purpose, which is unity and solidarity, in order to contribute to the growth of our community and to build our homeland."

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu also emphasized the important role of women in the development of every family, society, nation, and ethnic group. Women are not only mothers and wives but also workers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists. They play a central role in building and developing the caregiving economy, advancing science and technology, and fostering creativity and innovation.

The Embassy of Vietnam in Japan will provide all necessary conditions for intellectuals, including female intellectuals, to maximize their capabilities and passion and will create favorable conditions for female intellectuals and female scientists to engage in entrepreneurial activities.

About 50 female intellectuals and representatives from the Embassy, the Intellectual Women’s Association, the Intellectuals Association, and the Vietnam Scholars Network in Japan participated in the forum.

For her part, Mrs. Tran Thi Hue, President of the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association, stated that the association is a social and professional voluntary organization aimed at bringing together Vietnamese female intellectuals living in Japan to promote their talents and intellect in scientific research, knowledge dissemination, and enhancing the knowledge and skills of women and the community. The association also cooperates with international friends to contribute to the development of women and gender equality.

Therefore, the purpose of this forum is to honor the contributions of Vietnamese female intellectuals in labor, research, and community social activities; introduce initiatives and projects to connect, support, and develop the capacity of women in scientific research, business leadership, and community development; and discuss opportunities, challenges, and specific solutions for advancing their careers and missions.

Mrs. Tran Thi Hue said, "Vietnamese female intellectuals in Japan have been making continuous efforts and contributions to promoting development not only in Vietnam but also in Japan. This event is an opportunity to honor those achievements and confirm the important role of Vietnamese women in many fields. The theme of today’s forum is extremely significant. It not only reflects our commitment to promoting integration and innovation but also expresses the association’s vision of building a shared future for both Vietnam and Japan."

With this spirit, Mrs. Tran Thi Hue committed that in the near future, the Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association will actively expand cooperation relationships, aiming to build a united and "inspiring" community, create common information channels to connect the community of Vietnamese female intellectuals in Japan, organize webinars to share information on health care, financial management, and teach Vietnamese to Vietnamese children. Additionally, the association will connect with organizations and associations in Vietnam and Japan to organize scientific conferences aimed at exchanging scientific knowledge and technology between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to the process of innovation in the country.

The Vietnam-Japan Intellectual Women’s Association was established on June 9, 2024, as a legal entity with its own seal and bank account. The association has five basic tasks: to gather and unite female intellectuals, engage in scientific research and exchange, develop skills, support community integration, and promote regional and international cooperation.
