ASEAN-Japan Center promotes Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation

According to a VNA correspondent in Tokyo, on December 19, in Tokyo, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu presented the Certificate of Merit from the Foreign Minister to the Secretary General of the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC), Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi, for his active and effective contributions to the development of the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the contributions of the AJC as well as Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi personally in recent years in promoting the development of Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation. The Ambassador expressed his hope that AJC, under the leadership of Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi, will carry out more useful initiatives, contributing to promoting the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan to become more and more in-depth with specific results.

For his part, Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi expressed his great honor to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, recognizing the important contributions of AJC in promoting the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi affirmed that this award is a testament to AJC's long-term commitment to promoting economic, cultural and social relations between the two countries. Over the years, AJC has actively connected and promoted cooperation in areas such as sustainable development, trade and investment, bringing together stakeholders from Vietnam and Japan to jointly address new challenges and explore potential opportunities. Initiatives such as connecting Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with Vietnamese local authorities to address socio-economic needs through innovative solutions in green supply chains and smart logistics are clear evidence of AJC's shared aspiration for sustainable growth.
