SUPPORT FOR HEART PATIENTS IN NEED AT HOSPITAL E

On September 9, 2026, at Hospital E, Mrs. Thai Thu Hong—spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan and representative of the Association of Spouses of Embassy Staff (Vietnam Embassy in Japan) and the Asian Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS)—presented 111 million VND (equivalent to 670,000 JPY) to support heart patients facing financial hardship who are undergoing treatment at the Cardiovascular Center of Hospital E.

    This financial support was allocated by the ALFS from proceeds raised at a charity bazaar held in Tokyo on April 22, 2026—a year during which Vietnam held the role of Representative on the Embassy Side for the ALFS. At the presentation ceremony, Dr. Phan Thao Nguyen, Deputy Director of Hospital E and Head of the Cardiovascular Center, expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the ALFS for their care and support for disadvantaged patients receiving treatment at the Center. He noted that this contribution is of practical significance, helping to alleviate some of the treatment costs for the patients and their families./.
