Spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, Mrs. Thai Thu Hong, brings care and hope to disadvantaged heart patients at E Hospital

On September 9, 2026, at E Hospital, Mrs. Thai Thu Hong—representing the Embassy and the Association of Spouses of Diplomats of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan—presented 111 million VND (equivalent to 670,000 JPY) to the hospital's Cardiovascular Center. This support was funded by proceeds allocated by the Asian-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) following a charity bazaar held in Tokyo on April 22, 2026; the funds are designated for disadvantaged families to help cover the costs of treatment, medical interventions, or heart surgeries at the hospital.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mrs. Thai Thu Hong shared: "Through ALFS's charitable activities, we always hope that contributions from organizations and individuals in Japan can reach those in need in Vietnam. Today, by joining E Hospital to support disadvantaged heart patients, we hope this funding will help alleviate treatment costs and enable patients and their families to overcome their difficult circumstances."

At the reception, Dr. Phan Thao Nguyen, Deputy Director of E Hospital and Head of the Cardiovascular Center, expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and ALFS. According to the hospital representative, beyond helping to reduce the financial burden, this support serves as a source of encouragement for patients and their families throughout the treatment process. Activities at Hospital E have channeled funds from the ALFS Charity Bazaar to heart patients facing financial hardship in Vietnam. This outcome stems from contributions made by organizations and individuals participating in the bazaar in Japan, combined with the collaboration of Hospital E in supporting patients in need./.
