Connecting the Community, Promoting Vietnam’s Image in Japan’s Digital Space

          On September 23, 2026, in Tokyo, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu met with KOLs, digital content creators, and administrators of online pages and community groups for Vietnamese people in Japan to strengthen engagement with the Vietnamese community and promote the role of digital media in showcasing Viet Nam.

      The Ambassador highly appreciated their contributions to connecting Vietnamese people in Japan, sharing useful information on daily life, study, work and integration, and promoting positive images of Viet Nam and its people to Japanese and international audiences.

          Highlighting the growing importance of the digital space, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu noted that content creators and online communities are an effective bridge between the Embassy and Vietnamese people in Japan. He expressed the Embassy’s readiness to strengthen coordination, provide official and timely information, and facilitate the contributions of KOLs, content creators and community administrators to the Vietnamese community.

          Participants exchanged views on the information needs of Vietnamese people in Japan, emerging trends across digital platforms, and initiatives to strengthen community engagement. They also proposed promoting content on Vietnamese culture and people, the country’s development achievements, and opportunities for Viet Nam–Japan cooperation.

          The meeting served as a practical step toward implementing the spirit of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated August 2, 2026, on work concerning Vietnamese people overseas, particularly by mobilizing the resources and contributions of the Vietnamese community, including those engaged in media and digital content creation.

          The initiative contributes to building a united, dynamic and well-integrated Vietnamese community in Japan, while maintaining strong ties with the homeland.

          Going forward, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan will continue to strengthen cooperation with organizations, associations and influential individuals within the Vietnamese community, expand channels of engagement, enhance external communications, and contribute to people-to-people exchanges, mutual understanding and friendship between Viet Nam and Japan./.
