Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu Meets with Japanese Minister of State Onoda Kimi

          On July 21, 2026, at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu met with Ms. Onoda Kimi, Minister of State of Japan responsible for economic security and policies regarding AI, science and technology, space, intellectual property, “Cool Japan”, and the promotion of a symbiotic society with foreign nationals.

          During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on directions to foster economic cooperation between Vietnam and Japan amidst the significant fluctuations currently affecting the regional and global economies.

          They also discussed measures to further leverage the role of the Vietnamese community in Japan, regarding them as a vital bridge that strengthens the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, while also actively contributing to Japan's socio-economic development and the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
