Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu Meets with House of Representatives Member Matsushima Midori, Assistant to the Prime Minister of Japan for Issues Concerning Foreign Nationals

           On July 9, 2026, at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu met with House of Representatives Member Matsushima Midori, Assistant to the Prime Minister for issues concerning foreign nationals in Japan. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the status of human resource cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, as well as strategies to further enhance the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of this vital area of ​​cooperation in the future.

          Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu emphasized that human resource cooperation must be implemented in a manner that aligns with the development needs of both nations and safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese workers. He also highlighted the importance of creating conditions for the Vietnamese community in Japan to utilize their capabilities, integrate successfully, and make positive contributions to the host society.

          House of Representatives Member Matsushima Midori affirmed her commitment to continuing to focus on and facilitate human resource cooperation between the two countries in a substantive and effective manner that balances the interests of all parties. She noted that such efforts would contribute to the socio-economic development of both Vietnam and Japan, as well as the deepening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations./.
