Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau visits Japan and attends the 31st Asia Future Conference in Tokyo

From June 8-11, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau visited Japan and attended the 31st Asia Future Conference in Tokyo. During the trip, the Deputy Prime Minister paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives, met with the Executive Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Governor of Gunma Prefecture, the Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, met with experts and scientists at the National Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), visited FPT Japan, Shibaura University, etc.

         In addition to Japanese partners, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau also had meetings on the sidelines of the Conference, including: meeting with the Prime Minister of Laos, the Deputy Prime Ministers of Thailand and Cambodia, and the Chairman and CEO of Nikkei Group. In particular, at the 31st Asia Future Conference, the Deputy Prime Minister represented Vietnam in a speech, emphasizing three major lessons on self-reliance, cooperation, and innovation; while also highlighting three strategic advantages of Asia and proposing three directions for regional cooperation in the coming period. The speech reflected Vietnam's vision of a cohesive, sustainably developed Asia, playing a central role in global supply chains and pioneering digital and green transformation.

This is a prestigious annual international forum organized by the Nikkei media group of Japan since 1995. The event brings together leading political and economic leaders and academics from the Asia-Pacific region and the world to discuss pressing issues and Asia's role globally. Vietnam's participation is considered a significant contribution to the event's stature./.
