Invitation to the Investment Promotion Conference for Ha Tinh Province in Japan

The Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, in coordination with Ha Tinh province and relevant agencies, is pleased to announce the organization of the “Investment Promotion Conference for Ha Tinh Province in Japan” on May 11, 2026 (Monday).

In recent years, Ha Tinh province has been actively promoting institutional reforms, improving the investment environment, and enhancing competitiveness. With advantages in industrial development, energy, and logistics, and the Vung Ang Economic Zone as one of the key growth drivers, Ha Tinh is emerging as a potential investment destination in Vietnam. In particular, the Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant Project (1,200MW), with the participation of Mitsubishi Corporation, is a prime example of the presence and success of Japanese investors in the locality.

Currently, Ha Tinh province prioritizes attracting investment in the following sectors:

• Processing and manufacturing industries (steelmaking, supporting industries, electrical and electronics);

• Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries;

• Logistics services and tourism.

Ha Tinh province particularly desires to strengthen cooperation with Japanese enterprises that possess advanced technology, modern management capabilities, and a sustainable development orientation.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh province, along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and businesses, will directly introduce the development orientation, preferential mechanisms, support policies, and investment cooperation opportunities in the coming period.

This is an opportunity for your company to update the latest information on the investment environment and policies of Vietnam in general, and Ha Tinh province in particular; to directly exchange views with provincial leaders and relevant agencies; Expanding connections and seeking strategic investment cooperation opportunities in Vietnam.
