The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan Organizes a Workshop on Disseminating Local Laws to the Vietnamese Community in Japan

          On the afternoon of April 19, 2026, in Tokyo, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, in coordination with the Tokyo Police Agency, organized a workshop on disseminating local laws to Vietnamese people in Japan. This activity is of practical significance in enhancing legal understanding and contributing to better integration of the Vietnamese community into Japanese society. The workshop attracted approximately 150 participants, including representatives from Japanese businesses employing Vietnamese workers, Vietnamese associations in Japan, Vietnamese workers, relevant Japanese agencies, and local media. The workshop focused on three main topics: Japanese law, transportation, and disaster prevention and mitigation. These are issues directly related to the daily lives of Vietnamese people living in Japan, contributing to the safety of all individuals. In particular, representatives from the Japanese Immigration and Residence Management Agency clearly explained the basic regulations of laws related to immigration and residence in Japan, sharing experiences to help Vietnamese people avoid scams related to "easy jobs with high salaries" or "just pay money to work in Japan." The information presented at the workshop contributed to helping the Vietnamese community better understand their rights and obligations, while avoiding violations due to lack of understanding. This workshop is part of the efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan towards a friendly and harmonious Vietnamese community with local residents, contributing to protecting the safety of Vietnamese people in Japan, as well as enhancing the image of Vietnam in the eyes of Japanese and international friends. In his closing remarks, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, Pham Quang Hieu, called on the Vietnamese community to commit together: "Vietnamese people in Japan – live and abide by Japanese law!"./.
