Tay Ninh strengthens attraction of investment resources from Japan

VOV.VN - Today, November 19, in Tokyo, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province coordinated with the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan and the Vietnam - Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association to organize the "Tay Ninh Investment Promotion Conference in Tokyo", aiming to expand cooperation and attract investment from Japanese partners.

 Attending the conference, on the Vietnamese side were Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Quang Hieu - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, and leaders of agencies and enterprises of Tay Ninh.

On the Japanese side were Mr. Tsuno Motonori - Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Kansai region, Former Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam, Mr. Hirano Kenichi - Vice Chairman of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo, and representatives of more than 120 Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises.

Conference attracts about 120 Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises to participate

At the Conference, the potentials, strengths, and priority policies of Tay Ninh were introduced in an attractive and convincing manner through real images of the locality, along with a Q&A session with many practical and specific contents.

Emphasizing the extensive relationship between Tay Ninh and Japan, Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee said: "Tay Ninh has established and maintained effective cooperation with a number of Japanese localities such as Hyogo, Ibaraki, Wakayama, Kanagawa, Yamanashi and Okayama city. In particular, economic cooperation between Tay Ninh and Japan continues to develop positively. Currently, the province has 176 FDI projects of Japanese enterprises with a total investment capital of over 1.26 billion USD. Thereby, affirming the confidence of Japanese investors in the investment and business environment of Tay Ninh province and making an important contribution to the socio-economic growth of the province".

For their part, Japanese enterprises also highly appreciated the investment and business environment, as well as the quick and practical support of Tay Ninh provincial government, and expressed their desire to continue expanding their operations in the province.

Mr. Sato Yoshiya - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corolla Fukushima Group emphasized: "Tay Ninh has great potential in terms of geography, infrastructure development, fast and effective administrative support system for businesses and is an attractive destination for investors. I firmly believe that Tay Ninh will continue to be a bright spot, a new foundation for Japan - Vietnam economic cooperation in the coming time, and we hope to continue to contribute to promoting this process".
