On August 28, 2025, in Tokyo, H.E. Pham Quang Hieu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to Japan, received and held talks with a delegation of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, led by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Chairwoman of the Committee for Deputy Affairs.

During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the current state of Viet Nam–Japan bilateral cooperation, the life of the Vietnamese community in Japan, as well as orientations to further promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the coming time. On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai highly appreciated the activities of the Embassy, particularly in supporting the overseas Vietnamese community, and shared the purpose of the working trip, which is to further enhance parliamentary exchanges and contribute to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and Japan.
