Japan's Aeon Group supports Vietnamese people affected by storms and floods
Japan's Aeon Group donated 50,000 USD to support Vietnamese people affected by storms and floods, demonstrating its humanitarian gesture and solidarity with the community.

Mr. Watanabe Hiroyuki - Chairman of the Aeon 1% Club Foundation - presented a grant of 50,000 USD to support Vietnamese people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
After hearing that many localities in Vietnam were continuously attacked by fierce storms causing serious damage to people and property, Japan's Aeon Group and the Aeon 1% Club Foundation decided to allocate a grant to help Vietnamese disaster victims overcome difficulties soon.
According to a VNA reporter in Tokyo, on October 17, Mr. Watanabe Hiroyuki - Chairman of the Aeon 1% Club Foundation - visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan to present cash aid equivalent to 50,000 USD to support Vietnamese people affected by the recent storms No. 10 and 11.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Watanabe Hiroyuki said: "The damage to people and property caused by natural disasters in Vietnam is very serious. Aeon and the Aeon 1% Club Foundation, as a business doing business in Vietnam, wish to contribute to help Vietnamese victims of natural disasters overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives."

In response to the sentiments of Japanese friends, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the gesture and practical support of the Aeon Group in general and the Aeon 1% Club Fund in particular, and hoped that Aeon would become a source of inspiration and a model for Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam.
The Aeon 1% Club Fund is a member of the Aeon Group, established in 1989.
AEON Group's subsidiaries contribute 1% of their pre-tax income to the Club to develop a variety of initiatives focusing on "environmental protection," "global cultural exchange and human resource development," and "promoting regional social culture."
To date, the Fund has been effectively implementing many projects related to education and environmental protection in Vietnam./.
