Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front begins friendship visit to Japan

 

VOV.VN - Immediately after landing at the airport, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and had a working session with diplomatic officials and representatives of the Vietnamese Community in Japan.

Within the framework of the friendship visit to Japan and Korea to implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress and related Resolutions, promoting the strategic partnership between Vietnam - Japan, Vietnam - Korea, today July 27, the high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, arrived in Tokyo and began official activities during the first stop in Japan.

Immediately after landing at the airport, Mr. Do Van Chien and the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and had a meeting with diplomatic officials and representatives of the Vietnamese Community in Japan. Here, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu reported to the delegation on the situation in the area and the Vietnamese Community in Japan, highlighting the continuous growth of the Community and the central role of Vietnamese diplomatic missions in the area.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu said: “Implementing the motto of solidarity is strength, the Embassy has been diversifying forms of community gathering, developing and consolidating associations of Vietnamese people in Japan, leaving no empty space, with the motto that wherever there are Vietnamese people, there are associations”.

Representing the community of more than 600,000 Vietnamese people in Japan, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan expressed his emotion and sincere gratitude for the attention of the Party, the State, the Embassy and the Consulates General for the Vietnamese Community in Japan.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son said: "Associations, communities, as well as our compatriots in Japan always turn to the Fatherland, work hard, comply with the laws of the host country and wish to contribute more to the development of Vietnam, especially in the era of the country's development".

Another characteristic of the Vietnamese Community in Japan was also reported to Comrade Do Van Chien and the Delegation, which is the spiritual activities and volunteer activities carried out effectively and meaningfully by Vietnamese Buddhists in Japan, becoming a spiritual support for those living far from home.

Representing Vietnamese Buddhists in Japan, Venerable Thich Tam Tri - President of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Japan, shared: “We ourselves, with a small body, with limited strength, but from the very beginning, were connected by the Embassy, continuing the lives. From there, we have a mountain of Buddhist work, to go from South to North, bringing love, connection, and solidarity to our community”.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the Vietnamese Community in Japan, and once again affirmed Vietnam's consistent policy towards overseas Vietnamese.

“The Party, State and people of Vietnam highly value Vietnamese people living and working abroad, considering them an inseparable part, the flesh and blood of the Vietnamese nation. Therefore, up to now, the Party and State have issued many policies and guidelines to strongly arouse patriotism, national pride, connect the community, return to the roots, to organize a better life. The Politburo has issued Resolution 36, Directive 45 and recently Conclusion 12. All activities are gradually institutionalized by legal regulations” - Mr. Do Van Chien stated.

According to the work plan, tomorrow, July 28, Mr. Do Van Chien and the high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have many activities, meeting with many leaders of political parties, Japanese politicians... to discuss the situation of bilateral relations, as well as measures to promote cooperation in the coming time.
