Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu Welcomes Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to the Embassy

On July 16, 2025, at the headquarters of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu received and held talks with Mr. Huynh Xuan Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, who is visiting and working in Japan at the invitation of the Japan International Labour Foundation (JILAF).

During the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu shared updates on the Vietnamese community in Japan. In 2024, for the first time, the Embassy cooperated with Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to organize “Vietnam Labour Day in Japan 2024,” demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting Vietnamese workers living and working in Japan, as well as efforts to promote labour cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides agreed that ensuring and enhancing the legal rights and interests of Vietnamese technical interns and workers in Japan is key to fostering the development of a symbiotic society in Japan. They also discussed specific measures to improve the quality of human resources for Japanese employers and receiving organizations.
