On December 22, 2025, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu received and held a working meeting with a delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, led by Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Standing Vice Chairman, during their visit and working trip to Japan.

At the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu briefed the delegation on key aspects of Japan’s political and socio-economic situation, as well as the state of Viet Nam–Japan cooperation. He highly appreciated the positive outcomes of cooperation between Hanoi and Japanese partners in recent years, particularly in the fields of investment, trade, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchange. During the discussion, the Ambassador emphasized that there remains significant potential for cooperation between Hanoi and Japanese partners, especially in the context of the completion of the restructuring of the local government system, which aims to establish a more streamlined administrative framework, promote economic growth, and enhance the effectiveness of international cooperation. He also affirmed that the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan will continue to serve as a close and reliable bridge to support Hanoi in further expanding substantive and effective cooperation with Japan.

Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, shared information on the city’s socio-economic development and highlighted major cooperative activities with Japan, reaffirming that Japan remains one of Hanoi’s most important strategic partners. In addition, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, together with Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu and representatives of the Embassy, exchanged views on the objectives of the Hanoi Steering Committee delegation for the campaign “Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods,” focusing on gaining deeper insights into the Japanese market, learning from Japan’s management experience and quality standards, and strengthening connections between Hanoi enterprises and Japanese partners.
