On August 6, 2025, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu received and held talks with Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province, along with the provincial delegation currently visiting Japan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu presented an overview of the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Japan, as well as the state of local-to-local exchanges between the two countries. He highly appreciated the extensive cooperation achievements of Tay Ninh Province with Japan in various fields such as economy, trade, labor cooperation, and especially investment collaboration in recent years. The Ambassador also welcomed the Tay Ninh delegation’s organization of the Tay Ninh Investment Promotion Conference in Japan (August 6, 2025) to introduce the province’s policies and cooperation potential to Japanese investors.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Thanh briefed on Tay Ninh’s socio-economic development situation after the completion of the provincial merger (July 1, 2025) and highlighted the province’s strengths in fostering exchanges and cooperation with Japan. He expressed the hope that the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan would continue to support in connecting and promoting Tay Ninh’s investment and business environment to a wide range of Japanese businesses, thereby enhancing exchanges and fostering long-term cooperation with Japanese localities.
