Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu Meets Ha Tinh Delegation and Attends Investment Promotion Conference in Japan

On May 11, 2026, in Tokyo, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu held a working session with Nguyen Duy Lam, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, and the provincial delegation during their working visit to Japan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu and Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam exchanged views on recent cooperation between Ha Tinh Province and Japanese localities, businesses, and partners, while discussing the province’s cooperation potential and advantages in such areas as investment, industry, infrastructure development, human resource training, and labor cooperation. Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu noted that Ha Tinh possesses considerable potential and room for expanding cooperation with Japan, particularly as Viet Nam–Japan relations continue to develop positively across various fields. The Ambassador affirmed that the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan will continue supporting Ha Tinh Province in strengthening connections with Japanese local governments, enterprises, and partners in the coming period.

On the same day, Ha Tinh Province, in coordination with the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC), and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tokyo (JCCI), organized an investment promotion conference on Ha Tinh Province at the Embassy.

In his remarks at the conference, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu stated that Ha Tinh is emerging as a new growth hub for industry, energy, and logistics in the North Central region of Viet Nam. With its strategic location along the North–South transport corridor and the East–West Economic Corridor, together with the Vung Ang Economic Zone and the Son Duong–Vung Ang deep-water port complex, Ha Tinh possesses conditions well aligned with the long-term investment location criteria of Japanese enterprises. The Ambassador emphasized that the conference would provide Japanese businesses with a clearer understanding of Ha Tinh’s potential, advantages, and investment attraction policies and mechanisms./.
