Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu meets with the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture 

On March 10, 2025, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu had a meeting with the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture, Mr. Murai Yoshihiro, at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan. During the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu and Governor Murai discussed the recent exchanges between Miyagi Prefecture and Vietnam, as well as measures to strengthen cooperation in the future, particularly in the fields of investment, trade, labor, local cooperation, education, and science and technology.

Miyagi Prefecture is one of the Japanese localities actively engaged in exchanges with Vietnam. In January 2025, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan and the Miyagi Prefectural Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding to closely coordinate and further enhance exchanges between Miyagi Prefecture and Vietnam.
