100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day in Japan
Today, June 20, in Tokyo, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan solemnly held a rally to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were all resident reporters in Japan from leading Vietnamese press agencies, including Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Vietnam Television (VTV) and Voice of Vietnam (VOV), along with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Quang Hieu - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan highlighted the proud historical milestones of Vietnam's revolutionary press, praising the contributions of the press to the overall development of the country.

According to Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu, in the context of the world witnessing rapid changes in the digital age, the Vietnamese press has been adapting and innovating to meet the increasing demands of the public. In Japan - a country with a modern and developed press, Vietnamese resident press agencies such as VNA, VOV and VTV have affirmed their important role in bringing the image of Vietnam closer to Japanese and international friends.

Mr. Pham Quang Hieu said: “On this occasion, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the team of journalists who have made continuous efforts to overcome the unique challenges of journalism in Japan. You have worked with a high sense of responsibility, from reporting on high-level visits and cultural exchange events to promptly reflecting important issues in bilateral relations such as economic and educational cooperation, or activities of the Vietnamese community in Japan. These efforts not only contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between the two peoples, but also enhance trust and promote comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Japan”.

For their part, Vietnamese journalists residing in Japan expressed their gratitude for the sentiments and facilitation of the Embassy and the Ambassador personally, and pledged to continue to strive to fulfill their duties, contributing to the development of Vietnam-Japan relations, as well as the Vietnamese community in Japan.
On this occasion, Vietnamese representative agencies and Vietnamese associations in many localities of Japan also organized many meaningful and practical activities to commemorate the historical milestone of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.
